DECORAH, IA -- Winona State University was clipped 5-4 by Luther College, IA in nonconference play.
The Warriors' Mary Hesterman did pick up two wins for WSU, joining doubles partner Heather Pierce to win the No. 1 doubles match 8-3 and then followed up with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. WSU won a second doubles match when Kaycee Moore and Courtney Zinter captured the No. 3 match 8-6. The other Winona State win came at No. 6 singles where Erika Richae scored 6-2, 6-0 wins.
