Warriors Advance To Sweet 16 Round

KEARNEY, NE -- Heather Pierce and Mary Hesterman reached the "Sweet 16" round in the singles play of the ITA Regional tournament.

Pierce received a first-round bye and then posted an 8-6, 7-5 win to advance to the round of 16, while Hesterman scored victories of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-2.

Courtney Zinter, Holly Peltier, Erika Richae and Amanda Ache all lost in their only singles matches. All four advanced to consolation singles play.

The Warriors lost all three of their doubles matches.
