To be employed on campus, you must be enrolled for at least six (6) credits if you are an undergraduate student and three (3) credits if you are a graduate student. If you withdraw from any classes during the semester, which puts your total credits below the minimum requirement, you will no longer be eligible to work. Students who have graduated are no longer eligible for student employment. Enrollment is not required during the summer for WSU students (those who have attended the prior spring semester and/or are pre-registered to return in the fall). Students who come to WSU in the summer to study, but who are not seeking a degree from this university, will be eligible to work as long as they complete six (6) credits in the summer.
Think about your skills, interests, and class schedule when considering employment. Check out the university catalog and website to learn more about the variety of departments and programs on campus. Talk to friends and new acquaintances, who may be aware of possible job openings that are of interest to you or for which you have specific skills to offer. Career Services and the Financial Aid Office have collaborated to create a new service for students to use to search for a job on campus.
