The Biology Department Scholarship Committee and Dr. Warren W. Haesly Pre-Medicine Scholarship Committee receive application materials from scholarship applicants, reviews the credentials of the pool of highly qualified applicants, recommends, the scholarship recipients to the whole department, and forwards the names of the recommended recipients to the Winona State University Foundation.  The Winona State University foundation then awards the scholarships.
