Questions and Answers Q: Where can I find payroll information? A: Student employees refer to Student Payroll. Faculty/staff employees can find general information, including time sheets, benefit information, holiday schedule and payroll forms at the WSU Human Resources website, www.winona.edu/humanresources.
Detailed employee payroll information, including paystubs, W-4, W-2, deductions, and benefits, is available on the State of Minnesota Employee Self Service website, www.state.mn.us/employee.
Q: What if I do not have a computer? A: Employee Self Service information is on the Internet, so you can access it from any PC with Internet access: at another desk, another office building, home, or other locations. Computers with printers are available in the library for employees to use.
Q: How do I access Employee Self Service? A: The Employee Self Service website is www.state.mn.us/employee. An introduction to Employee Self Service can be found at www.finance.state.mn.us/agencyapps/selfservice/index.html.
Q: What is my SEMA4 ID? A: Contact human resources or payroll to obtain your SEMA4 ID. Note: SEMA4 ID is different than the Tech ID.
Q: What is my password?
A: The system assigns a temporary password, consisting of the last four digits of your social security number. The temporary password needs to be changed after you have signed in.
Example: An employee named Summer Vacation has a social security number 123-45-6789. Summer's password is 6789.

Q: I forgot my password, what do I do?
A: At the Employee Self Service page, www.state.mn.us/employee, you will see "If you've forgotten your password, click here." Follow the instructions and the system will assign a new temporary password.

Q: Where can I find the payroll calendar?
