Long-term Volunteer Fair
Tuesday, November 4, 2008
3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
WSU Campus - Kryzsko Commons

Long-term volunteering involves committing a year or more to service work with a volunteer program that places you at a site by matching your skills with the needs of an underserved area.

Typically as a volunteer you will also live in a community with other volunteers and sometimes with religious sisters, brothers, or priests.  There are national and international programs, faith-based and non faith-based, 1 year or 2 year commitments.  You will find long-term volunteer options to fit just about any field of work.  Volunteer programs that have attended include:

  • Amate House
  • Dominican Volunteers USA
  • Mercy Volunteer Corps
  • Minnesota Reading Corps
  • Vincentian Service Corps
  • Winona Catholic Worker
