Travel back in time to the 1890s with the magic lantern show, a precursor to motion pictures and a popular form of entertainment during Dickens' time. The lanterns use colorful glass slides to project images on a full-sized screen. Valentine's stories, animated comedy, and songs are dramatized onscreen by a live showman and singer/pianist. The audience participates in the fun, creating sound effects, and joining in chants and sing-alongs. "It's an incredible experience . . . Don't miss them. They're a living national treasure!"-NPR
