Dr. Saeed Ziaee is a member of the faculty in the Composite Materials Engineering Department at Winona State. He has directed the undergraduate research project of Engineering major, Robert Fagerlund. The project is concerned with the rubber toughening of thermoset resins, vinyl-ester resins in particular. 1H NMR is being used to monitor the conversion of commercial epoxy resins vinyl-ester resins and check the content of monomers in a butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber co-polymer.
