WSU Presents Project WET Workshop for Educators
Winona State University and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources present a Project WET Workshop for K-8 Educators Monday, June 9, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. aboard WSU’s River Explorer.
Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) is an international, interdisciplinary water science and education program grounded in the belief that water is important for everyone. Workshop attendees participate in interactive and hands-on activities that can be brought back to the classroom. The activities are ideal for reaching different learning styles and teaching multiple subjects.
This workshop is open to classroom K-12 teachers, naturalists, homeschool educators, scout and youth group leaders, resource professionals, pre-service teachers, university and college professors, and anyone involved in educating K-12 students.
The cost to attend is $45 and includes a Project WET K-12 Activity Guide, training from the Project WET staff, supplementary teaching resources and lunch.
