Our Unique Mission

Residential learning has been in practice at WSU since 1993. Lourdes Hall is the only building on campus integrating both academic and social activities into one learning center. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this unique learning experience and participate in the many educational and entertaining activities that occur throughout the duration of the school year. Residents can take classes, meet and receive assistance from professors that hold office hours in the building, and attend special speaker presentations. Students are challenged to discover the love of learning, tolerance for individual difference, the benefits of a liberal education, and the enjoyment of a participative community.

There are also social activities held within the Residential College. Banquets and formal dances are held periodically within our classic university dining hall, while football games and movies are watched on the large projection screen in the College Center. From learning to learn, to learning to get along, the Residential College is a great facility for a student's educational career

*There is a required $200 fee for those who reside on the west campus. This fee goes toward the many activities that are available throughout the year including banquets, speaker series, world forum dinners, concerts, and social activities.
