Welcome to the home page for the College of Business at Winona State University, Winona, Minnesota. The College of Business enrolls approximately 1,300 undergraduate students. The college has 41 full-time professors and offers 7 undergraduate majors and 9 undergraduate minors.

The College of Business is focused on providing high-quality professional education in business. We're proud of our excellent programs. The College of Business programs emphasize high expectations; strong verbal, written, and quantitative skills; ethical behavior; and cultural diversity, all of which will enhance the development of our students as critical thinkers and business decision makers. WSU's commitment to providing a quality education is recognized nationally.

The College of Business offers to its students many opportunities to experience real business situations through internship programs, tours to companies, guest speakers from business and industry, and research opportunities.



College of Business Vision and Mission Statements

Vision
Our vision is to become the business college of choice among our region’s students seeking a student-centered learning environment that engages students, faculty, and community in mutually beneficial and respectful collaboration.  We will be the preferred source of business graduates who are prepared for professional success in the 21st century.

Mission
The mission of Winona State University's College of Business is to provide quality undergraduate business programs designed to prepare students that can creatively, responsibly and adaptively apply their knowledge and skills - exemplifying the qualities of engaged, well-educated citizens - successfully responding to the challenges of their work, their lives, and the communities in which they live.

The faculty of the college is committed to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment that is informed by pedagogical scholarship and enhanced by applied research that serves to promote both human and economic development in Southeast Minnesota.  Based on an integrated liberal education core woven through the curriculum, our students learn effective communication skills, collaborative problem solving abilities, analytical thinking skills, and the application of contemporary business practices so that they are prepared to react responsibly and creatively to social, economic, global, and technological changes in their career.
