Communication Studies at Winona State University

Communication Studies at WSU - a degree for life.

To see some Communication Studies Alumni talking about their Communication Studies degrees, watch videos.

Have you asked yourself, “What will I do with my life?”  Are you ready to figure this out?  First, sit down and think a bit.  Next, ask yourself three simple questions:  “What might I be good at?”  “Would I like a career where competence in communication would me better understand, influence and help other people?” Finally, the most important question you should consider:  “What will I do to improve our world?”  Communication Studies faculty and students will help you answer those questions, because we believe that Communication Studies is YOUR degree for life.

Our goal is to prepare students to improve communication competency to participate and succeed in our world’s global village.  To accomplish this, we offer three degree options:  leadership and advocacy, organizational communication, or a general communication option that allows you to choose your own focus from a variety of courses in Communication Studies.

Looking to find an academic home with a strong track record?  Then consider our alumni who work in for-profit and non-profit business:  Mayo Clinic, Fox Sports Network, State Farm Insurance, Target, Fossil, LCMS Missionaries, Fastenal, Intervarsity, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and many more.  You will find they all agree. . .Communication Studies is a degree for life.
