Dixieland Jazz Workshop

The Dixieland Jazz Workshop is a music camp that includes instruction and rehearsals and participation in the Winona Jazz Festival. Camp is open to students in middle school and high school.

Camp Director is WSU Faculty Member Rich MacDonald. Dr. MacDonald performs regularly as a drummer and vibraphonist at jazz venues in the Southeastern Minnesota/Western Wisconsin region. He is also principal percussionist with the La Crosse, Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra.

Option A:

  • ·         Four day workshop: $249/student
  • ·         Wednesday-Saturday, June 26-29, 2013

 Local students who do not need accommodation may attend for $209

All students will perform in the Jazz Festival event on Winona State University's campus on Saturday, June 29th at noon.

Students participating in the 4 day workshop will also perform Thursday night, June 27th (time and place TBA).
