Lego Mindstorms offers young students the opportunity to work with the Lego NXT technology in order to design, assemble and program robots. Eric Paulsen, 4th grade teacher in the STEM program at Jefferson Elementary School in Winona, has facilitated this program for the past 3 years.
This is a day camp for students entering grades 4-8, with a morning session for beginners and/or students entering grades 4, 5, and 6 (8:30 – 11:30am) and an afternoon robotics/engineering session for older students with prior experience with Lego NXT Robots (1:30 – 4:30pm).
Campers meet at the Tau Center (511 Hilbert St.) on Winona State University’s West Campus.
2013 Camp dates: June 10-14.
