A Masters of Science in Community Counseling
Overview
As a CACREP training track, the Community Counseling program prepares program graduates for careers as professional counselors in public and private community counseling settings (e.g. community mental health agencies, social services agencies, residential care facilities, etc.). Successful completion of the program leads to eligibility for professional counselor licensure in Minnesota as well as most other states with licensure laws for professional counselors (e.g. Wisconsin and/or Iowa). You may review the state standards for licensure at the web site for the Minnesota Board for Behavioral Health and Therapy at http://www.bbht.state.mn.us/default.asp
