We are learners preparing our students and ourselves for the 21st Century. We believe teachers reflect on the individual child’s needs, are responsive to the social context of learning within the classroom, and advocate for children beyond the individual classroom.
Some students who see additional depth or preparation for delivering quality literary instruction choose to complete the Reading Instruction Minor. While completion of the minor in itself does not provide additional teacher licensing, courses in the minor have been designed to lay the foundation for students wishing to seek a MN Teacher of Reading License in future professional development.
