Teach21: Innovative Teacher TrainingTeach21 is a teacher-effectiveness initiative that emphasizes: Recruitment of promising teacher candidates Dedicated faculty who incorporate innovative teaching methods into coursework Experience in area school classrooms that starts the first year of classes and continues throughout the college program Continuing support and mentoring of new teachers after graduation as part of an ongoing induction into the profession. This noteworthy initiative is part of NExT (the Network for Excellence in Teaching) and is generously sponsored by the Archibald and Edyth Bush Foundation. This teacher effectiveness initiative is the largest in the history of the foundation, involving a $40 million dollar investment over 10 years at 14 higher education campuses in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
