Faculty & Staff are committed to teaching and modeling reflective practice, responsiveness and advocacy. We work tirelessly to respond to the needs of each student and provide them with what they need to achieve their full potential. All students have an academic advisor to guide them in their pursuit of higher learning.
Business Education, Foundations of Education, and Physical Education are housed within the Department of Education Studies.
Business Education courses integrate technology and business to prepare students to become teachers at the 5-12 level. Students pursue a balanced curriculum of computer technology, business administration, administrative information systems, general education, methods of teaching, and professional education.
All Winona campus students majoring in a teacher education licensure program take Foundations of Education courses. These courses make up the professional education sequence.
The Physical Education program uses traditional and experiential methods to develop physical education teachers and coaches. Students can expand their career options by combining a health education major, a coaching minor, and a Developmental/Adapted Physical Education (D/APE) endorsement. For the D/APE Endorsement, students need to complete their coursework by December, 2015.
