Maxwell Children's Center

REGISTRATION FEE
There is a $35.00 registration fee for each new enrollment and $15.00 when a child moves from one age level to another within the Center. Registration fees are nonrefundable and do not apply toward tuition.

CONTRACTS & BILLING STATEMENTS
Each semester parents are asked to establish a permanent weekly schedule with us. Weekly charges are based on this schedule. Notify the office and classroom teacher for any permanent schedule changes. Billing statements are placed in your child's box at the Center weekly and payment is expected on a regular basis. Payment can be made online, by mail or in person at the cashier's window in Somsen Hall. We reserve the right to terminate care for delinquent payments.

ADDITIONAL HOURS
Additional hours may be added upon request and will be honored pending adequate space and staffing.   Additional hours must be confirmed through the classroom head teacher. Additional requested time will appear as additional hours on your weekly billing statement.

LATE PICK-UP FEE
Child pick-ups occurring after 5:30, will be charged $5.00 per 5 minutes, rounded to the closest five. (i.e. 8 minutes late pick-ups are charged $10.00; 19 minutes late pick-ups are charged $20.00.) These charges will appear on your weekly bill under "Late Pick-Up Fee."

FIELD TRIPS
Parents are billed for all field trip charges including vehicle rental, admission, additional staff, etc. These charges are normally $1.00-$5.00 per field trip.

VACATION DAYS, HOLIDAYS & BREAKS
During finals, and all scheduled university breaks families are charged only for requested hours. We do close for all legal holidays and some university breaks as noted on our yearly calendar, issued in August each year. There is no allowance for family vacation days during the academic year. Summer billing and vacation policy appears in a separate document.

SICKNESS & ABSENCES
Normal contract charges apply for non-attendance days due to sickness and other absences.

HOLDING FEE
During the academic year, there will be a $25.00 or half tuition, whichever is larger, fee charge to retain a space in our program if a child needs to be gone for more than a week of scheduled care. This fee will be charged for each extended absence.

WITHDRAWAL
A two-week written notice is required for change of contract or withdrawal from program.
