What should I consider when completing the
Competency Review Form?

 

1) When filling out the space provided on the form, you are to list not only the courses you took but also any professional experiences that have given you an adequate grasp of the competency.

2) You are to collect evidence, in a separate binder, supporting your professional experience. Collecting such information could also be a valuable asset when interviewing for a leadership position. Evidence of experience that helped you meet the competency might include:

  1. Meeting notices containing your name as a committee member.
  2. Assignment sheets containing your name.
  3. Certificates of completion, achievement, or award.
  4. Letters from educators explaining the experience completed.

Your transcript will serve as evidence of course completion.
