Beckry Abdel-Magid is a Professor in the Composite Materials Engineering Program. Dr. Abdel-Magid's teaching interests include: engineering mechanics, analysis and design of composite materials, mechanical characterization of composites, and finite element analysis. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Maine and the State of Minnesota. He has been active in research and applications of composite materials in structural engineering, and in the development of composites-wood hybrid materials for civil infrastructure systems. His research work has been featured in local, state, and national media. Dr. Abdel-Magid has many publications in analysis and behavior of composite structures and FRP-wood composites.
