Facilities Services Work Order Request Procedure
Send ALL work order requests, requests for assistance, motor pool inquiries, and any other concerns that need to be addressed by the Facilities Services staff by using one of the following four options. Please do not stop our workers and ask them to relay a message to another worker or the office. We cannot track these requests and your request may be delayed or not done at all because our office did not receive the request.
E-mail:
Facilities@winona.edu
By addressing your request in this manner, the e-mail goes to our Facilities Services in-box. Mary Haeussinger, Nancy Amann, and Scott Kluver, as well as our office student workers, all have access to this inbox. This enables us to respond in a timely manner. If a request is addressed only to an individual and that person happens to be gone, the e-mail will wait in their in-box until they return.
When you use e-mail for work order requests, we respond with the work order number issued for that particular request(s). If you wish to follow up on a request, we need that work order number in order to quickly look up the work order and check on the status. Please keep a copy of our e-mail response until after the job has been completed.
Telephone:
457-5045
This extension is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During regular office hours if X5045 is busy, the call will roll over to X5047. If both extensions are busy, please leave a voice mail message at the prompt and we will get back to you or if your call is urgent, you can hang up and try your call again after a short while.
After office hours, X5045 is transferred to the 2-way radio system and an attendant (either a custodian or an engineer) will answer. However, if X5045 is busy you will get voice mail. If your call is urgent hang up and try your call again in a few minutes. After normal office hours, leave non-urgent requests on X5047 and we will act on your message the next business day morning.
Campus Mail:
Please address written requests/concerns to: Facilities Services, Service Building.
In Person:
Anyone who wishes to address a concern in person to someone on the Facilities Services staff is welcome to stop in our office in the Service Building and we will be happy to assist you.
