Advising Council
A. Committee Charge:
1. Monitor, review, and make recommendations on new and existing advising policies
and procedures.
2. Coordinate and facilitate communication of advising information between the council and
the colleges, departments, and service units.
3. Produce and distribute advising newsletters to faculty, staff, and students.
B. Committee will elect a chairperson.
C. There is no formula for the term of office.
D. The Council of Administrators will call the first meeting.
E. Composition: 6 IFO, 2 ASF, 1 AFSCME, 2 Council of Administrators, 1 Student
(3 Ex-Officios: one from offices of Advising & Retention, Registrar, and Admissions)
