Academic Standing Task Force

Charge: The Academic Standing Task Force will explore the areas involved in as well as the implications of the policy and practice of student academic progress and student success.  The task force will examine the impact of policies and procedures on students.  Included in the deliberation will be recommendations on how to bring into alignment the policies, practices, and deadlines (add-drop; financial aid; bookstore, etc) affecting the academic progress of students.

Membership: 2 IFO, 2 ASF, 2 AFSCME, 1 Administrator, and 1 Student (2 Ex-Officio: Director of Advising and Retention and the Registrar)

Timeline: The task force is constituted on a short-term basis and will meet as needed over the course of several months.  It is expected that the work of the task force will be concluded by March, 2008.

Recommendations: Recommendations will be made to Vice President Connie Gores and Sally Johnstone.
