Fitness/Wellness Center Regulations
The WSU Fitness/Wellness Center is an equal-access working facility for the use of current Winona State University students, athletes and staff.
- Current Winona State University I.D. will be required to be scanned at the entrance desk.
- The use of the Wellness/Fitness Center is a privilege, proper behavior is required at all times while using the facility.
- No verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated.
- The Wellness/Fitness staff reserves the right to ask the removal of any individual(s) who they believe are in violation of the centers regulations, or who may be endangering other patrons.
Proper Dress is required at all times.
- Shorts, t-shirts, or sweats will be worn at all times, string tank tops or sports bras are not acceptable.
- No spikes, cleats, bare feet or open-toe/unlaced footwear are permitted.
Think safety!
- Use equipment correctly; use collars at all times and spotter(s) on free weight exercises; use proper form; and never sacrifice technique for weight.
- Please keep all dumbbells, bars and plates off of the padded surfaces (benches, machines).
- Respect platforms and power racks as work stations.
Take pride in the Wellness center and keep it in order.
- It is each individuals responsibility to pick up after him/herself.
- Keep equipment in its proper location (do not rearrange or remove). Strip bars, rack weights correctly and replace all items when done. Equipment is to be kept off the floor and properly racked when not in use.
Food, open beverage containers, glass or tobacco of any kind are not permitted in the Wellness center.
- Sport bottles may be used throughout the weightroom.
- Consult the Fitness Center Staff with any questions, concerns or suggestions.
- Failure to observe posted regulations and schedules may result in suspension or termination of Fitness Center privileges at the discretion of the Director or Staff.
