Meet Our Trustees
Jane is a 1976 graduate of Winona State University, where she was the first woman to graduate from the Industrial Education Program. When she left WSU, people told her that, as a woman, she would never work in the technical field. Jane has been employed by General Motors Corporation for over 30 years in sales, service, and management including overseas project assignments in China. Her current position is the South Central Region Service Development Zone Manager in the Service and Parts Operations Division. Jane has traveled the world to set up a network of service stations.
In 2002 Jane received her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is currently a member of the National Institute of Service Excellence and is certified as a Master Automobile Technician, Advanced Emissions, Alternate Fuels and Service Consultant. Jane is also a member of Applied Transportation Concepts, Inc. (ATeam); has a Ph.D. in Service Improvement; and is a member of the Society of Service Excellence for Automotive Management. She is a member of the WSU Warrior Club. Past awards/honors include the Greater New York Auto Dealers Association in 1995; Outstanding Supporter of Automotive Education at New York State University Education Department VESID (Vocational Educational Services to Individuals with Disabilities) Industry Leadership Award in 1997.
