Nicole Edgar, Earth Science Teaching
Graduation Date: May 2012
Research Project: 1/09 through 12/09
I am researching lunar geology at the Winona State University observatory in conjunction with NASA's current mission to impact the lunar North Pole. The photographs I am taking will help NASA scientists analyze the resulting ejecta for traces of water, and I will also be implementing them into a lesson plan for middle school Earth Science classrooms. I will be presenting my research at the Geological Society of America annual meeting in 2010.
Upon graduation, I hope to teach 8th grade Earth Science and eventually complete graduate work in planetary geology.
