Registration and Scholarships

Registration for Grandparents University begins February 23, 2015.

Here is all the information you need to get successfully signed up for two days of fun with your grandchild at Winona State University. Scholarships are also available to help defray participation costs.

Registration opens each year in mid-February.

Registration closes when each session reaches capacity. If minimum enrollment is not met, complete refunds will be issued to all registrants.

The Winona State University Retiree Center is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for Grandparents University. Thanks to the generous support of friends, retirees and businesses, we will offer scholarships to cover partial funding of participation based on family income.

Important Note: If your participation in Grandparents University is contingent upon receiving a scholarship, please refrain from registering for Grandparents University until you have received notification of a scholarship award.

Yes, as long as the names of the participants and related information are correct in the registration fields, it doesn’t matter who signs up and/or pays for the registration. Please note that unless otherwise directed, correspondence regarding Grandparents University will be sent to the address of the individual who completes the registration.
No, we can’t do that. As a security feature, no credit card information is stored in our system. The client will need to re-enter their information.
On the back of MasterCard, Visa, and Discover cards, the last four digits of the credit card number are listed along with a three-digit number. Those three digits are the security code. On the front of the American Express card, the security code is four digits long and not embossed. The security code is needed to verify that the registrant is in possession of the card, which decreases the likelihood of someone using a stolen credit card number. Although this is probably not a problem with Grandparents University registrants, it is a built-in security feature of the credit card processing software.
No, all registration is done online with a credit card.
Yes, orders can be canceled. If the credit card payment has already been processed, a refund will be issued.
