Renewable Power

WSU has a goal of carbon neutrality. Having renewable energy projects on campus will help us achieve that goal. Furthermore, as an institution of higher education, our goal is to be leaders in the community and to educate the next generation about how to incorporate renewable energy into their homes and businesses.

Possible Future Projects:

  • Solar Thermal heating of the Memorial Hall or Lourdes Hall swimming pool
  • Becoming a partner on a wind turbine with Winona County
  • Solar heating of new pedestrian tunnel
  • Solar panels for the laptop university
