Purchasing
Winona State University believes that we can make a difference in the sustainability of the environment by purchasing products that minimize negative impacts on the environment. One step of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (PCC) is developing a policy for purchasing environmentally preferable products. WSU has drafted a proposal to purchase Energy Star qualified appliances and products that contain recycled materials whenever it is possible, practical and reasonably affordable. photo of lightbulb
