About Student Health Service

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

Student Health Service is located in the Wabasha Hall
101 E. Wabasha Street on the 2nd floor.  

We are handicapped accessible.  You can access the elevator by going into the door on Wabasha Street marked Child Care.

COST

The student activity fee includes a health service fee that enables all student to use the health service.  This fee covers seeing a nurse with no charge and reduced laboratory test and medicine pricing.  There is an additional $7.00 office visit fee to see the doctor or nurse practitioner.  There are also charges for immunizations, medical supplies and some medical procedures.  Crutches may be rented for a nominal charge.  

WHO CAN USE THE SERVICES?

Currently enrolled students can use all services. Having medical insurance is not a prerequisite to using the on-campus Health Service. Health Service is available to any student regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or ethnicity.

*SUMMER SESSION: Students who were enrolled in the previous Spring Semester, but are not enrolled in the Summer Sessions may use the Health Service during the summer for a fee of $13.20 per session sessions.   You will be billed at the Health Service when you come in for your first visit each session you use the services.

Fall, Winter, and Spring Hours

Monday,Tuesday,Thursday:

8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Summer Hours

Monday-Thursday:

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Friday:

Closed

Appointments should be made with the physician, or nurse practitioner by calling 457-5160.

REFERRALS

If consultation with a medical specialist is needed, patients will be referred to a specialist either in Winona, La Crosse, or your hometown area, depending on your medical needs. Check your insurance policy to determine what facility will be covered.
