Counseling Services

Confidential counseling services are available to WSU students at the Counseling Center in Gildemeister.

The basic mission of the Counseling Center is to provide counseling for students so that they can better achieve their educational, personal, and/or career goals. The staff is also available to provide advice, consultation, and/or service to students in emergency situations.

Services offered:

Career Counseling – a counselor can assist students by explaining how interests, abilities, and values relate to potential careers.

Educational Counseling – a counselor can help students adjust to the educational setting and to satisfactorily meet educational goals.

Personal Counseling – a counselor is available on a one-on-one basis to help students who feel anxious or uncomfortable about a variety of situations.
