There are no office visit charges for students to see a nurse when visiting the Student Health Services. Charges ARE generated to see the doctor, nurse practitioner, for medications, supplies, procedures and laboratory tests; just as in any medical facility.
All costs for provider visits, medications, supplies, procedures and laboratory services are charged to your student account and should be paid for at the Cashier's Office in Somsen. When you have a charge, you will receive an "Encounter Form" with the charges listed. This form will also include your diagnosis and procedure codes needed to submit to your insurance company; if you intend to ask them to reimburse you.
The Student Health Services does not bill any insurance company except the student insurance, Mega Health and Life Insurance.
