I greatly appreciate your interest in the Department of Health, Exercise & Rehabilitative Sciences (HERS). The Department was formed in 1996, with a commitment to providing state of the art academic programs, laboratories and facilities to its 250-300 students in six distinct majors.

The following pages will introduce you to our faculty and describe the programs offered in our department. You will experience dedicated and caring faculty who will challenge you in classes and mentor you as advisors, as you progress through an exciting four years of study, research, workshops, conferences, practica and internships that will prepare you for the workforce of the 21st century. Our students are a dedicated community of learners striving to achieve academic excellence and dedicated to improving our world.
