Rooms
|
The rooms in Sheehan Hall are very similar to each other. Double occupancy rooms have 2 beds, 2 closets, 2 desks, bookcases, and chairs. Each floor houses approximately 35 women and has one Resident Assistant assigned to it to help the students with all their needs throughout the year.
We strongly encourage residents in Sheehan Hall to consider lofting thier beds to provide more flexibility in their room.

Floors
|
|
This is one of the floors in Sheehan Hall. There is elevator access on the even-numbered floors. The stairs shown here give you access to the odd floors. There are also two stairwells that go from the 13th floor to the basement. Each floor in Sheehan has a Resident Assistant available the entire year.

First Floor Features
|
|
Front Office
The front office is staffed from 9AM - 11PM Monday - Friday and 11AM - 11PM Saturday and Sunday. After 11PM, Campus Security watches over things. The front office provides an assortment of things for the residents to take advantage of. There are kitchen supplies, athletic equipment, movies, and other miscellaneous items for residents to check out simply by trading their ID in for an allotted amount of time. Also, the front office area is where all mail and packages are picked up.

Kitchen
The kitchen on first floor is available to all of the residents and is the only full kitchen in the building. Equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink, this kitchen should meet all your cooking needs.
There are kitchenettes available to the residents on each floor. Each kitchenette has a sink, microwave, and toaster. They are open 24 hours a day.

Back Lounge
The Back lounge of Sheehan Hall is located on the east side of the building and is available for socializing, watching movies on the big screen TV and attending Hall Council. The back lounge is wired for internet access so residents can do homework or gather for group meetings.

Security In Sheehan
Sheehan Hall houses the central Security Office for the WSU campus. After 11pm, all residents must check in with their WSU ID. All guests of residents must be checked in and provide a photo ID. All of the entrances to Sheehan are locked in the evening, and entrance is only possible with a Sheehan Hall key.

General Information

The Sundeck and Volleyball Courts
The Sundeck off the east side of Sheehan Hall provides a great place to relax, tan, study, or watch some volleyball. The lighted volleyball court is available to on-campus residents and is a great way to meet people and get a great workout.

Basement
|
|
Laundry Room
There are 12 washers and 12 dryers located in the basement of Sheehan. With easy access from the elevators, getting laundry done is a snap. Current costs of Laundry is $1 for wash and 75¢ for 55 minutes of drying time. A coin machine is located in the first floor lobby.

|
Sheehan Fitness Center
The Fitness Center is located in the basement and is open approximately 40 hours a week. There are two elliptical, two treadmills, two stairmasters and one bike. There is also a set of small handweights and mats for floor exercises.
