All About Richards

Richards Hall was currently renovated during Summer 2011. Students living in Richards will enjoy new beds, mattresses, dressers, desks, desk chairs, and more! Each room includes a sink/vanity area and a closet with built-in organizers.

The majority of the rooms in Richards are double rooms. Men are housed on 1st & 2nd floors, while 3rd & 4th floors are designated for women.

There is a wing of rooms on the 1st floor called the annex rooms. These rooms are much larger than the regular double rooms and have 3-4 students living in them.

There are kitchens on 2nd – 4th floors in Richards which include stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, and tables.

Laundry facilities are located in the basement. Students are able to use their Purple Pass account to pay for laundry.

In November 2011, a newly renovated lounge was made available to students. This renovated area consists of a brand new kitchen space and appliances, a large flat-screen TV, and several pieces of study and lounge furniture for students to enjoy.  In addition, this space is used for Hall Council meetings every Monday night as well as RA programs. 

The front desk, located on the 1st floor, is staffed with students who live in the residence halls and are trained to answer questions about housing and Winona State. It is a great resource students can use to check out movies, games, kitchen equipment, and much more!

Students living in Richards can also take advantage of the outdoor courtyard. This courtyard is shared with students living in Conway Hall and has a sand volleyball court and benches.
