Kevin Possin was appointed by the Executive
Committee to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
2. Service Day Proposal
D. Bratt/R. Elcombe support of concept but have
these concerns:
1. No surprises

3. Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes vs.
Tuesday, Thursday
4. Faculty involvement in activities
5. Request a written proposal
President will bring forth Committee structure.
Aim is for fall of 2001 to begin Service Day.
3. Proposal for a History of WSU
Senate Agreed to support this proposal
1. Photo History
2. Update Dr. R.A. DuFresne history
Administration will put a proposal together to
submit to Senate.
4. Technology Issues and Communication
Status of technology fellows- administration
will re-new the selection process we proposed last year. Decision made
over summer - who was consulted?
Administration apologized for lack of complete communication. In the area of technology, it is difficult to keep everyone informed. Proposal will be presented for a "Rapid fire" group of faculty who would be available in the summer for consultation.
5. IFO Retirement Workshop
September 12-13, 2000 with Russ Stanton
6. Review and Study of joining the Human Resource and Affirmative Action Positions
Tess Kruger has set aside money in this year budget to do the
study.
7. Campus Phone Book
Not sure when it will be ready. It is in process now.
8. Search for Dean of the College of Liberal Arts (Administration Addition)
Composition provide - will be brought to Senate.
9. Addition to All-University Technology Committee (Administration Addition)
Request Vice President of Technology to be added to this
committee
10. Acting Director of ACEED (Administration Addition)
Pauline Christensen is on sabbatical. Ann
McDonald will be appointed acting Director.
11. Proposal for a Residential College Steering Committee (Administration Addition)
Proposal for a steering committee presented
for Senate's consideration

RCTC and Winona State $400,000 each will be taken
out of mandatory reserve to help fund Tel-pro
15. Human Subject Committee
Human Subject Committee wishes to change the name
of their committee. A proposal has been sent to Senate.
16. Responsible Conduct
The following proposed task force has been sent
to Senate for consideration. See attached document.
In October 1, 2000 deadline has been set for
this Task Force to be in place
17. Health Survey
Health care facilities in the Winona area
request WSU employees participate in the survey.
WSU would be an Alpha Site. There will be an
information session on campus in the near future.
18. Pottery Dedication
September 15, 2000 Friday at 1:00 PM Dedication and blessing
September 14-15 Native American representative from
New Mexico will be visiting campus.
