Q: Where is WSU located?

A: Winona State is located in the heart of Winona, a city in southeast Minnesota with 29,000 people. The mighty Mississippi River, towering bluffs, beautiful lakes, and a historic downtown are all within a few blocks of campus. Winona is a 25-minute drive from La Crosse, Wis., 45 minutes from Rochester, Minn., 190km to the Twin Cities, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and 490km to Chicago, Illinois.

Q: Do I need a TOEFL & SAT to apply?

A: No, you only one. TOEFL, or EILTS, or SAT, or ACT.

Q: When should I apply?

A: As soon as possible. Especially if it takes time to get an appointment your home country’s Embassy. Remember, the sooner you get your I-20 the sooner you will know if you are able to study in Winona State University.

Q: Do I need a laptop to attend WSU?

A: No. Winona State is a laptop university which provides all students a brand new laptop computer every other year, and all support, printing, and maintenance that is needed.

Q: Do you pick up students from the airport?

A: No. However, the City of Winona has an outstanding Shuttle bus system that brings you directly to Winona State Campus from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport (MSP) safely and very inexpensive.
