How to Apply as an International Student

It is super easy to apply to Winona State. 

1. Determine if you are a:

  • Freshmen:  Students who are in the last year of high school, or have never taken a university or college class before.

  • Transfer: Students who has taken university or college classes, even if it is only one.

  • Graduate: you have graduated from an university and hold a university degree of 4 years or more.

  • Conditional Admission: Winona State University offers Conditional Admissions for international candidates by accepting students into our English Language Center (ELC).

  • 2. Select the appropriate category in the Quick Links on the right, to find the requirements for each of these criteria.

    Note: Winona State does not require essays or letters of recommendations for admissions to the university.
