Class Descriptions

 

 

 

Cardio kickboxing: Experienced instructors incorporate various boxing and kickboxing movement into a fun and exciting workout.  Movement includes kicking, punching, and other aerobic exercise all incorporated into a vigorous workout.  Beginners to advances participants are welcome.  The class includes a cardio workout, tonight, and a strenuous abdominal workout.  Various instructors are available to meet your needs and style.  Be ready to sweat!

 

Hip Hop Aerobics: This class is a fun and unique class designed differently than your average step aerobics or kickboxing class.  The class consists of a short warm up of stretches followed by some center floor work that focuses on isolations of the head, ribs, and hips.  There are usually a few simple progressions across the floor as a group before starting to learn an aerobic hip hop routine.  Within each class, a portion of hip hop routine is taught and the following class is reviewed and added to.  A new hip hop routing will usually be taught every month!  No dance experience is needed and everyone is welcome to come!   

 

Pilates: Pilates is an exercise that places emphasis on muscle control and breathing technique.  It is about the quality of the movement performed, not the quantity.  The exercises performed are intended to strengthen ligaments and joints, increase flexibility, lengthen and tone muscles.  The Pilates class offered is great for beginners and will be increasing in difficulty throughout the semester as stamina improves.

 

Yoga:  This class is a great day to end a stressful day or revitalize yourself.  It offers traditional Yoga postures and other relaxation techniques taught by experienced instructors.  Come and you are sure to relieve stress, tone muscles, and gain flexibility
