Tablets at WSU
WSU Digital Life and Learning introduces mobile tablet devices to our powerful set of learning, communication, and social technology tools.
In Fall 2013 all new Winona State students – and students due for their 2-year laptop exchange – will receive a tablet AND a new laptop (Mac or PC). The mobile tablet device plus laptop will be provided with no increase in current technology costs. We’re the first public university in the Midwest to offer a tablet and a laptop to all of its students. Students who already have a laptop will receive both a tablet and new laptop when they’re due for their 2-year technology exchange. This means that all full-time, Winona campus students will have both tablets and laptops by Fall 2014. WSU-Rochester students have the opportunity but are not required to participate in the program. Not part of the initial rollout? Digital Life and Learning will have tablets available for checkout and for all students taking classes where they’re used.
