NOTE: Lights must be off to control the LCD projector with the remote control.
- For Gateway laptop & Macintosh G3 Powerbooks, disconnect VGA cable going to the computer & connect to the VGA port on the laptop.
- Connect network cable if necessary.
- Aim the remote at the projector, & press the Power Button .
- Press INPUT button until you see INPUT 1 for computer projection or INPUT 3 for video projection.
- Turn the computer, laptop, or VCR on at this time.
- Main power for the remote will automatically turn off if not used for 15 min.
- Press Light button on bottom of remote for backlight.
- At the Mouse/Adj location, make sure slide lever is on Adj.
- If you do not get a response with the remote, make sure the main power for the Projector is on.
- When you turn the power off, the LCD will cool down for about 1 minute. During the cool down time, the projector lamp will not turn on.
Macintosh users: If the image does not appear on the screen, hold the OPTION button & press F7 to toggle the screens.
Gateway users: If image appears on the computer, but not on the projection screen, hold FN & press F3 to toggle from PC to PC & LCD or LCD.
When you leave, please reconnect the VGA cable to the Computer.

Smartboard Operation

If using the Macintosh computer, click on the SmartBoard 5.4 Icon.
Then click Orient Board.
You will be asked to choose 9, 20, or 80 points. Choose the number of points depending how responsive you would like the board.
The next screen will have red X’s, which you need to touch on the smart board.
If you are using a Macintosh Powerbook, you will need the Keyspan adapter, found in the cabinet.
Disconnect the Smart Board adapter from the computer and connect to Keyspan in the #1 port.
Connect Keyspan adapter to Powerbook. Follow the rest of the instructions above.
