Requesting

a television program

to be

taped.

 

Request must be received 24 hrs prior to broadcast.

WSU uses HBCI cable system. HBCI Channels available. To verify the Date and time of your program you can check on-line directories such as Yahoo

Information needed:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Title of program
  • Channel on HBCI cable
  • account # to be charged for blank tape

Send request via email to : Media Services Office or call us at 457-5110.

In an attempt to streamline off-air recording procedures, Integrated Media Services will no longer record programs on IMS tapes for temporary use.  If a blank tape was not furnished with this request, your department will be billed for one.

Under the Fair Use Guidelines, you can legally retain this tape for up to 45 days.  The program should be used once in class within the first 10 days of broadcast.  It may be shown a second time to reinforce specific teaching  purposes. A program may only be recorded once for any individual.  After the program is used for teaching and reinforcement, it may be only used again for teacher review and future application consideration. Instructors are not required to use recorded materials in their entirety.  But the portions used may not be altered in any way.  Recorded programs cannot be physically or electronically combined to make an “anthology” or “compilation”. It is the responsibility of the requestor to erase or dispose of the tape after 45 days.
