Descriptions of the Links
UNData contains information from all major UN databases and those of several other international organizations. The design allows a user to access a large number of UN databases either by browsing the data series or through a keyword search.
Current statistics on 185 countries. Thirty-seven variables include: population, life expectancy, fertility, school enrollment, illiteracy, homicides, motor vehicles, GDP and labor force.
Select up to seven countries at a time (click on the Data Menu button located at the very bottom of the page). After specifying countries, choose optional data fields (up to four at a time) from the resulting data selection menu. Finally, click on the button at the bottom of that page marked, View Info.
