In conjunction wth Homecoming weekend, the WSU Mass Communication department  hosted a reception and tour of its new facilities in Phelps Hall.

During summer 2009, Howell Hall was demolished and the WSU TV Studio was updated and moved into Phelps Gymnasium. The department is also developing new studios and offices for KQAL and a multimedia lab.

About 35 people attended the reception including faculty, alumni and a few current students. They enjoyed a brief program describing the new facilties and comments from WSU President Judith Ramaley.
