Student Resources

Winona State’s Tutoring Services are located on the 2nd floor of the library and assist students in meeting their academic goals by providing outstanding free academic assistance. Tutors can help you understand material in a course and become an independent learner.

The Math/Stats Department provides free semester-long calculator rentals to students in MATH or STAT courses that require a TI-84 or TI-89. Ask your instructor for the appropriate form and/or contact the departmental secretary in 322 Gildemeister Hall.

Do you like Math and/or Statistics, but have already taken what your major requires? Would you like to take one more Math or Stat course to give your resumé a boost, but aren't sure what would be the best class to take? Check out our Math/Stat non-major course recommendations.

The WSU Math/Stats Department prides itself on providing educational experiences inside and outside the classroom. Check out our list of Student Opportunities and Activities to see how you can get plugged in, meet fellow students, and begin building your resumé.

Departmental majors looking for summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) or other similar opportunities should consult with their advisor. Below are some national lists of programs and some specific programs that our students have participated in.
