Prof. Michael James

Mike James teaches guitar, guitar ensemble, guitar methods, jazz fundamentals and directs one of the jazz combos. A solid player on bass as well as guitar, Mr. James can be heard in a variety of musical settings throughout the region. He has studied with Pete Pancrazi in Phoenix, Arizona, and David Baker at the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops. He splits his teaching time between Winona State and Leithold Music in La Crosse, WI. Mr. James is also a music technology specialist, having recorded several digital music projects at his home studio.
