Prof. John Mundy

Professor John Mundy seated on a staircase.John Mundy is a native of Columbia Heights, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science Teaching degree in 1975 and a Master of Music Education degree in 1985. He was a high school band director for 25 years, the last 20 at Wabasha-Kellogg Public Schools. He has been an adjunct instructor at Winona State University since 2001. John is active as a trumpet/cornet player, as a member of the Winona Symphony Orchestra since 1987, and the Sheldon Brass Band of Red Wing, Minn. since its inception in 1989. He and his wife Sue (an artist, cornet player, and WSU grad) live in Dumfries, Minn. with their horse, dog and two cats. In his spare time John is a railroad history buff and mediocre golfer.
