Prof. Natalie Filipovich

Professor Natalie Filipovich holds a violin.

Minnesota native Natalie Filipovich teaches applied violin and viola at Winona State University. Prior to coming to WSU, Ms. Filipovich taught violin, viola, and string methods at Center College (Danville, KY) and applied violin and viola at Stephen F. Austin State University (Nacogdoches, TX).

Ms. Filipovich brings to her teaching extensive and varied performing experience. Presently concertmaster of the Winona Symphony Orchestra, she has been a member of the Lexington (KY) Philharmonic Orchestra, and the South Bend (IN) and Kalamazoo (MI) Symphonies, to name a few. As a chamber musician she has performed with the Stephen F. Austin State University Faculty Trio, the Eastern Kentucky University Faculty String Quartet, and, on numerous occasions, in violin/cello duo with her husband, cellist Paul Vance. Ms. Filipovich has appeared in solo recitals in Boston, Milwaukee, and St. Paul.

Ms. Filipovich graduated with honors from Macalester College (St. Paul) and holds a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the New England Conservatory.
