Scholarship Information (2010-2011)
Scholarship Audition Dates:

An audition time can be scheduled by emailing or calling the music office at 507-457-5250 or 1-800-242-8978. Students must fill out the Scholarship Audition Form and mail it prior to audition date or bring the completed form to their audition.
When contacting the Department of Music to request an audition time, please provide the following information:

Your address

Your phone number

Your email address

Your main instrument
-
Your preference for Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon
You should plan to arrive at WSU at least one half hour prior to your audition time so that you have time to register and warm up in one of our practice rooms.

Renewable and non-renewable awards are available in yearly amounts, ranging from $500 to $3000

Prospective students must perform an audition for the music faculty, during the above dates, to be considered for these awards

Propective students must write a music theory and aural skills assessment exam

A scholarship audition may also be used as an admission audition

Vocalists are offered piano accompaniment at their audition, and are requested to mail (Dept. of Music - Scholarship Auditions, P.O. Box 5838, Winona, MN, 55987) or fax (507-457-5624) their music to the music office at least one week prior to their audition. If your audition song(s) are in this list, mailing a copy will not be necessary (however, please email Dr. Eric Brisson, who is the piano accompanist for vocal auditions, at least one week in advance to let him know what songs(s) you will be performing in your audition).
